How does GuardMobile work?
The device owner installs and configures GuardMobile. He sets an arbitrary device PIN and adds cellular numbers, which can control this device, to totally prevent abuse. After activation, the program stays "silently" in background until its asked to do some action.
Since every device supports SMS nowadays, the whole communication is done via SMS, which means you can control your device using any other cellular phone (no Windows Mobile required!). No internet access is necessary. The device replies all actions with a confirmation SMS.

With “HomeScreen ++ UI Edition” you can build your own User Interface by means of xml and make use of external scripting or application. You can create an application-launcher or place a digital-clock with seconds or show the date and other indicators, such as cpu-utilization, memory usage of sd-card, storage, ram, or flashcards. Furthermore you can integrate other today-plugins into the theme, which are loaded as with the default-todayscreen.

With the current release-candidate you can use fluidly view-switching-animations, such as slide in, slide out, blend in, blend out, page flip, or cube. The former ones perform very quick and fluidly on QVGA-resolution as well as on VGA-resolution.

Bluetooth scanner for Windows Mobile based devices.
In short btCrawler is a simple bluetooth scanner for Windows Mobile based devices. It scans for other visible devices in range and can perform a service query. You can also query for services of your own device and do some selfdiagnostic stuff. In the device list: COD means "Class of Device" (see bluetooth specification for more info). In the output window, when the sdp services are listed, "ChId" means Channel ID, which is the RFCOMM Channel the service is listening on. It supports both, landscape and portrait screens. As of version 1.0 bluejacking and bluesnarfing is supported. Usage :

Start the .exe and simply press the Scan button to detect devices in range which are in "visible mode". After devices have been found just press the SDP button to query for services. You can query for own bluetooth profiles by pressing the SelfDiag button. That's

Vibration Feedback v1.5 for Windows Mobile 5+
This Software lets the phone vibrate when the touchscreen is touched. This feature is knwon from the Samsung Omnia Phone for example. It gives a better response and feeling for a finger tip on the screen.
It consists of two parts. The first one is VOA aka vibrate.exe (which is already mentioned in different threads) by Const and a configuration part VOAConfig by Kisja.

Brins0net ScreenRotator (Auto Screen Rotation with GSensor)


Here's another one of my wonderfully simple applications. A screen rotator which uses the GSensor to detect the orientation of the device, and rotate the device screen accordingly.
It has a graphical configuration system for blacklisting/whitelisting applications where auto rotation should not be performed.

When run, it will sit and wait for the device to be rotated, then it will rotate the screen accordingly. Initially the display form opens up showing the current orientation, and a little image if you enable it in the options menu. The form can be either minimised, using the "X" button at the top, or it can be hidden to save memory, but it cannot be re-opened. The application can also be closed gracefully using the option in the menu.

pport using the Windows today screen method. New options have been added into the configuration page to enable you to select the new option. You can either have the device ***locked, or you can ***lock the deivice and suspend it.

WordStreamer (aka MiniMuncher) is a speed reading tool . It works on the principle that our brains only process text when our eyes are not moving. WordStreamer simply streams a text file a set number of words at a time, at a rate specified by you. Since your eyes are not traveling from line to line and across the page, this allows you to read at a faster rate in no time by simply pressing up to increase the rate at which the words are displayed.
The goal of this release

The goal of release 0.9.2 is to add the ability to quickly stream content as needed and to correct/add some settings. I FINALLY got me a new screen for my Wizard and got to do some overdue bug hunting.

1. There's a new menu option labeled "clipboard". You can use it to Stream your clipboard data on the screen or into a file. This should cover the problem with supporting /docs/rtfs/any other text you can select. Let me know if you have any issues with it.

What is this ?
This is a little application that will simulate *** presses (on the D-pad) or scroll while you tilt your device. It will soon be usable in many games (e.g. racing games where it isn't really great to use the D-Pad). It is actually usable with a lot of desktop-softwares, like Manila, etc...

The application is at its very first beta release now and so you WILL encouter bugs and IT WONT be stable so try it if you want to but don't wine, instead post constructive suggestions, please.

Here is some explanations about the control panel:Application name: This is where you introduce the application's name (the one which appears on the top of the window).
Tilt ***: Which *** the software simulates when you tilt your device to the left. The tilt side never changes, even if you rotate your device. It is based on when you hold your device in portrait mode flat down.



Tilt sensivity: this is a number (between 0 and 100) setting the tilting minimal for the action to be sent. The more you're close to 0, the more sensitive it will be. If you set it to 100, it will never trigger. Interval: the interval at which ***s are pressed. This means that if you set it too low, while tilting your device, a lot of ***s will be sent. It is calculated in milliseconds. So if you set it to 1000, when you tilt your device, it will simulate 1 press per second, per ***. Setting it low enough is useful for games, for example.

If you are selling or donating a Pocket PC, or if you just need to wipe some of the strictly confidential files, then SecuWipe is the tool for you.
Data sanitizing is the only secure way to remove traces of any strictly confidential and highly sensitive data. Standard file deletion leaves the contents of the "deleted" file on your device. Hard reset will only remove the addresses of files from the file system index, will overwrite some system files on the top, but large portions of your sensitive data will remain easily recoverable. Formatting the removable card is not an effective means either - since the files that contained personal details, bank account details, credit card numbers can be recovered too easily.
Data wiping ensures that you permanently erase all sensitive data, including files, folders, entire removable media cards, as well as all email, contacts, appointments and tasks' databases. It is impossible to restore any data that has been properly wiped.

The solution to this is data wiping. Wipe confidential SMS messages, browsing history, cookies and all temporary files to ensure they will not get into wrong hands.

CallerUtility v12.09 (look up unknown caller)
Greetings!
Just finished a working version of my new little neat utility which looks up an unknown caller (number among your contacts) with the norwegian service GuleSider.no (yellow pages directory service) and a page called telefonterror.no (lists known telemarketeers in Norway).
When there's a call from an unknown caller the program looks up in both directories and displays the information on top of the HTC-Answer-incoming-call-application
The program will auto-start on boot, auto-appear and auto-hide after the call has ended.

You can choose 3 currencies to be displayed and for the time being you have two WebServices available: Bank of Romania (for my Romanian friends) and Bank of England (for my other friends). Bank of England currency are accessed via the Export Technologies WebService.
You need of course an Internet connection.
For Bank of Romania you can choose to see the currencies as they were at a certain date. Before you ask, chosing a date in the future will alas not work. The Export Technologies service does not have this function though, and when working with the Bank of England this choice will be unavailable.
The program remembers the last downloaded values for each service.
Please note that the Export Technologies service (for Bank of England) is slow – an update can take up to a minute.

Mobile Sketcher Description

• Summary: Basic drawing application for your windows mobile phone
• Requirements:
Windows Mobile Pocket PC 5 , 6 , 6.1

The goal is to create a basic drawing application, but add a mobile twist to it. On the menu, I have added a menu item for selecting a picture using the select picture dialog. The nice thing about the select picture dialog is it allows you to use your camera to take a picture and then select it as your picture.
In a way this application is a lot like the mobile signature capture application we did a while back, but there are some important differences: picture selection support, camera support, save file dialog support, and more. The business case for this application is something like the following: an insurance agent arrives on the scene of an automotive accident, she takes a picture using Mobile Sketcher and then adds notes and sketches to the picture for claims processing.
So users can select a picture from their device or take a picture and use it for their background. And then they can draw and edit the picture using Mobile Sketcher. At the bottom of the screen we a
llow user to select different colors for the pen’s ink: red, orange, yellow, green, blue, brown, white, and black. Well okay, white is really a light gray since white on white is hard to see.

MiTo Team Paint v1.2
Small program for PocketPC that allows you to draw pictures like on paper. Program is VERY simple. It allows you to draw with different pen colors and line widths. After that you can save your picture to BMP-file. Just run end enjoy it. It was written in an couple of hours just to test .NET CompactFramework v2.0 capabilities. But the result is so funny that we decided to provide it for public usage.

VAlert v1.10 Description

VAlert allows customizing vibration incoming call alerts. Windows based phones vibrate either before the ring or constantly during the ring. Having a short ringtone can possibly solve this problem, but with long mp3 ringtone the phone will constantly vibrate during the ring.
This program will enable Windows Mobile phones to produce short vibrations when the phone rings. Vibration patterns can be easily changed by the user. Possibly to match vibration patterns to the ringtone, so the phone will vibrate in a rhythm.
Very low (~11K) memory usage
How to use
1. Install the CAB
2. Soft reset the device or manually run \Program files\VAlert\VAlert.exe
3. The program is hidden by default. To display program window (if needed), run the program again
7. In Phone->Options make sure ring type is Vibrate and Ring
4. Edit script.txt to change vibration pattern. Every line in the file is a pair of vibration length and note pause
5. From the program window run Menu->Test to test the created pattern
6. Perform Menu->Hide to hide program window

S2U2 is a simple lock/unlock application which has the iPhone style slide unlocking. It can be used as a screensaver while you don't use your device. And it's has CallerID function (but it may not work on some devices.
