It also provides protection for confidential data stored on a smartphone should the device be lost or stolen.
Functions
Anti-theft protection:
Protection of personal data for a lost or stolen smartphone. To protect personal data stored on a smartphone if it is lost, a user can block his/her smartphone or delete files, messages, and the list of contacts remotely. The user can also find out who the “new owner” of the lost device is.
SMS-Block. In the event of the loss of a smartphone, a user can send a “hidden SMS message” to it, which blocks access to the smartphone until a pre-set password is entered.
SMS-Clean. This function is similar to the SMS-Block feature, but, rather than blocking the smartphone, it cleans the device’s memory and memory cards.
SIM Watch. The SMS-Block and SMS-Clean functions are only available if a smartphone is enabled and the original SIM card is installed. If a smartphone is stolen, the “new owner” will most likely immediately replace the original SIM card. The SIM Watch function will prevent the “new owner” from accessing any personal data without the initial SIM card inserted in the device. If the initial SIM card is replaced with a new one, the SIM Watch function will send the original user the new telephone number of the device without the “new owner’s” knowledge.
Antivirus protection:
All incoming or modified SMS, MMS and email items are automatically scanned for malicious programs. On-demand scanning of the mobile device is available at any time. The user can pre-set the best time for antivirus scanning and it will be performed automatically. If an infected object is detected, it is stored in the quarantine folder or deleted.
Firewall
The user can select one of the integrated IP firewall protection levels. Depending on the level selected, one or more connections will be restricted to provide user security.
Anti-spam for SMS/EMS/MMS.
Automatic updates. Updates are available via WAP/HTTP (GPRS, EDGE, WiFi, etc.) or via a PC during synchronization.

Changes of v1.21 - fixed the bug that ShowAppointment could not display any appointment on some devices again.
(But one user reported that the appointments will be displayed as if they are one day later. As I cannot reproduce the error, no solution yet.)

- Battery metter
- Now runs on background. The app will keep running on background after the first start up so the locking is almost automatic. You can place a shortcut on \Windows\Startup so that your device locks even when startup (more secure). To allow freeing memory the app will respond to Hibernate message performing a full close, this will happend only if the device is not locked when resources are requested.
- Some bugs solved like two instances startup or graphical issues when voice mail or MMS where present (i forget to attach the png's for this last two cases X-D

What's the one thing missing from ALL PocketPC devices? The ability to use it well with one hand. Don't get me wrong, manufacturers are trying but what's the point when even MS wont fix the OS apps to work without a stylus?

FakeCursor to the rescue!! Ever wanted to have a mouse for your PPC actually ON your PPC? I know I have. Well, while on my trips round t'internet I came across THIS topic over on XDA-Devs. I'm not entirely sure who has made this FakeCursor app but hats off to him (or her), it shows a lot of potential.

The only problem with it at the moment is that it won't work with the onscreen ***board and that soft***s and call/answer ***s can't be mapped to their original functions.
Installation is simple, copy the .exe onto the phone and run it. When it first runs, it installs links in the Programs menu and give you a settings dialog. I recommend the settings pictured above but each to their own. After you OK that, run it again and you'll see the cursor. You can also customise the cursor icon by adding new .cur files into the same directory as the .exe file. Simple

- added the options to change the sorting menu symbol. It's only useful for those devices that cannot display the triangles on the sorting menu. How? Create a registry value AscendingSymbol (String) at \H***_CURRENT_USER\Software\A_C\S2V\, set the content to whatever you want, e.g. ^, or even a word (ascending). Create another one called DescendingSymbol for the descending order.

Continua l’appuntamento con i migliori software freeware per Pocket PC. Oggi parliamo di un programma molto recente (e ancora in fase beta), ma molto interessante. Il programma si chiama PowerSMS e viene sviluppato dalla piccola Software House Questa raccolta di 6 utility ci permette di avere maggior controllo dei messaggi e aggiunge alcune funzioni interessanti, come l’Auto Reply per le chiamate perse o l’invio degli SMS programmato. Un’altra delle funzioni presenti del programma è la possibilità di creare dei gruppi di invio predefiniti e di inviare lo stesso SMS a tutti in un attimo. Funzione che risulta molto utile quando si organizza un evento. L’utility più interessante invece è quella denominata Cool Stats, che ci permette di creare delle statistiche sui nostri SMS in pochissimo temo. PowerSMS supporta anche il Backup dei messaggi in 3 formati, in XML, in CSV e in formato ripristinabile. First of all, you need to install Pencil Box into PocketPC. The installation process is easy - just follow onscreen instructions. After installation, open Programs group in you Pocket PC and tap Pencil Box icon. The program will load and you'll see canvas and the following items:

8 pencils: Tap a pencil you want to draw. The active pencil moves above the others, so you always can see what pencil is active.
Eraser: Tap eraser to activate it. When active, eraser will move itself left-right-up-down. To deactivate eraser, tap a pencil.
Clear canvas icon: To clear canvas, tap this icon. You will be asked for confirmation.
Exit icon: Tap the red exit button to exit applicationImportant note:
Pencil Box automatically saves the canvas to bitmap (BMP) file. The file is named as "PencilBox.bmp" and stored in "My Documents" folder on your Pocket PC. Whenever you need to access, copy or rename that file, you should use your favorite File Explorer and go to My Documents - the Pencil Box canvas is always there.

SensorLock is a device locking application designed for the HTC touch diamon It also works on the HTC tuoch pro (http://www.mobiletopsoft.com/devices/spec-htc-touch-pro.html). SensorLock allows you to lock the device's screen and buttons, thereby preventing random button and screen presses while the device is in your pocket.

Locking and unlocking is simply done by rotating the device around its longest axis (clockwise for locking and counter-clockwise for unlocking) and can be done in any program (Media Player, TomTom etc) without disrupting normal device operation.

The build in alarm clock of Windows Mobile lacks in functionality and usability.
That is where CradleAlarm 4.0.4 comes in. With this program you can set multiple alarms in your device. Four different alarm types exist: ,
Compact
Compact alarm This is a simple alarm which is also known from the previous versions called enAlarmPPC. Only some basic options can be set using this alarm. That is why this alarm is recommended for adding a simple alarm quickly. Using this type it is possible to add once-only and recurring alarms at selected weekdays. Because of the compact layout you probably need to use the styles to set the settings for this type. -

Wizard alarm This alarm type is a "normal" alarm, like the compact alarm, but features many more configuration options. The different settings are entered using a step-by-step wizard.
Appointment
Appointment alarm The settings for this alarm type are very similar to the settings of the wizard alarm. This alarm type, in addition to the alarm time, will also have an alarm date. The alarm starts at a specified time at a specified date and will be automatically deleted after the alarm has started.
Command
Command alarm This alarm runs at the specified time a stated program or opens a stated document.
Every single alarm can be configured independently. Every alarm (except the command alarms) has its own playlist of MP3, WAVE, Windows Media or Midi files. Furthermore the appearance of the alarm can be configured by selecting different colors or background images.
Compact and wizard alarms can be configured to start only once, daily or on different weekdays.
Particularly the snooze function of the build in alarm is extremely poor. The innovative snooze function of CradleAlarm helps late risers to get up on time. To activate the snooze during an alarm the user can tap on any spot of the screen. If the snooze function is used too often, a quiz starts. To activate the snooze again, the user has to solve some sort of task. This will avoid that the snooze will be unintentionally hit too often.
With every new task the challenge gets harder and the user has to think more. That way the brain needs to, at least for short, work actively and so the wake up process is initiated.
The current version of CradleAlarm offers three different types of quizzes:
* Math: During this quiz the user has to solve a simple math calculation before he can activate the snooze again. With every try the problem gets harder.
* Memory: Six pairs of "cards" are shown to the user upside down. He has to find the pairs by turning around two cards after another. During the first snooze try the user has to find one pair only (all other cards are already turned around). The next try he has to find two pairs, etc.
* Repeat: A sequence of numbers is shown to the user one after another. Afterwards he has to repeat the sequence in the same order. Until he repeats the sequence correctly the snooze will not start again. With every try to sequence he has to remember gets longer.

All snooze options can be set individually for every alarm.
Further it was considered that the sound files are faded in when played. That way the user will not affright if a loud starting sound is played.
This version now also features a today screen plugin. Thereby it is possible to look over all configured alarms, edit them, see when the next alarm will go off and start CradleAlarm directly from the device's main screen.
To not start all over again with all the preferred settings for every new alarm, all settings can be saved as a template. For the next alarm, just select the template, perhaps enter a new time and hit OK. Three nice looking templates are already installed with the program. You can even download and import more templates from the download area of CradleAlarm.

After the installation the following languages are already included: English, German, French, Spanish and Turkish

Update note:
During the installation all settings, alarms and templates from the previous installation (v4.0.0) are deleted. If needed please export your templates (at the options) before installing this update, so that you can reimport them afterwards.

Install Builder 0.7

Install Builder is a free standalone application that allow novice user to create setup cabinet for Pocket PC and Smart Phone. Install Builder use a simple ini file to store project settings, you can use simple editor like notepad to edit the ini file.

The setup cabinet contain binary encoded and xml installation file plus all application files. It support two installation mode (ActiveSync --> PPC, PPC --> PPC). The setup cabinet can copy files, make shortcuts and add registry ***s.

Install Builder generate the installation file (encoded&xml) directly, so it does not require CABWIZ.EXE, however it does require CABARC.exe (one of the file in MS Cabinet SDK) to create cabinet file, you can obtain it here.

Start Bar to bottom

Phần mềm cực nhỏ (Chỉ có 4,5 K và copy vào máy chạy luôn )nhưng tuyệt hay . Nó sẽ đưa thanh menu xuống bottom bar ( Điều từ trước tới nay muốn như thế thì bắt buộc phải dùng phần mềm WAD nặng Vài M ). Đã test tốt trên WM2K6 QVGA.
Nguyên bản phần mềm chỉ đưa menubar xuống dưói cùng (dưới thanh bottombar). Muốn loại hẳn thanh bottombar thì các bạn cài phần mềm cũng rất nhỏ gọn tôi đính kèm dưới đây : VJTOGGLETODAY

RegLogger 1.6
Now you can see a registry access in your Windows CE device!

Run RegLogger and select "Capture" in "Log" menu.
You can save log into text file.
I recommend if you switch focus to another application, clear "Update view" mark
This will increase speed in times.
When you switch back to RegLogger you can set mark again, of course.
Also you can specify include and exclude filter.
It will applied only to exe filename.
If you have VGA device you can decrease font size - you will see more information.

I don't recommend to kill my program. You *should* close it via menu, otherwise your device can hang.
RegLogger is free, but you use it without any warranties.
I
Compatible with WM 2003 SE and WM 5.0.
Tested on Dell x51v, HTC 3400 and on emulators.

With “HomeScreen ++ UI Edition” you can build your own User Interface by means of xml and make use of external scripting or application. You can create an application-launcher or place a digital-clock with seconds or show the date and other indicators, such as cpu-utilization, memory usage of sd-card, storage, ram, or flashcards. Furthermore you can integrate other today-plugins into the theme, which are loaded as with the default-todayscreen.

With the current release-candidate you can use fluidly view-switching-animations, such as slide in, slide out, blend in, blend out, page flip, or cube. The former ones perform very quick and fluidly on QVGA-resolution as well as on VGA-resolution.
HomeScreen++UI version 1.06 is now in “Release Candidate”-state and will be released as finished release soon.

ICS Control is a GUI front-end for Internet Connection Sharing, a component of Microsoft Windows Mobile. It can be configured to do a variety of things including sharing your cellular internet connection over an adhoc WiFi network.

Requirements: .NET Compact Framework 2.0 and Windows Mobile 5 or later with the IPNAT driver included (most WM6 builds have this built-in). The "Internet Sharing" application that some phones have is not required, but IPNAT is.

ICSControl is a single .exe file, included in the zip file below. You can place it directly in /Windows/Start Menu/Programs/ on your device and it will appear as an icon in Programs. Or you can place it elsewhere and create a shortcut.
Comments, bug reports, and requests are welcome.

Cellular to WiFi (probably the most common scenario, sharing internet access to a WiFi network)
Cellular to Bluetooth
Cellular to USBBut it should also work with more "interesting" combinations like: VPN to Wifi - get wireless clients onto a VPN
Wifi to Bluetooth - allow bluetooth network devices to access a WLAN.
Wifi to USB - basically the pda acts as a wireless network card for the PC.

Diamond Cubes

Here is a small OpenGL based program that allows you to use your Diamond as a "Dice Shaker". It is a simple program and it was written to learn how to use OpenGL together with C# on Diamond.Done:
- Add sound effects/ buzzer triggering - thanks to gerDiamond to fix the "bugs" in the collision detection and surur for the sound and background file. Also thanks to simplifight to clean up some of the code.
- Better graphics - I think I finally understand OpenGL lighting
- Menu choice for the number of dices - You can choose 1 till 5 dices
- Ticking on the screen is the same as shaking the device.
- Exit through the menu. Still todo
- Different faces for different types of games (for example the dice colors needed for "Cities3D" .Basic setup for this is done, just need to find the time to create the images
- Better "rest position" algorithm. I think I understand the problem, so a fix will be on the way.
- Ability to "park" a dice or put it on the side. Would be needed for a "Yahtzee" like game.
- Nicer graphics for the playboard. Again I hav
e the graphics understood and made some code changes with regard to the rendering of the dices.
- Better "side-collision". Have used it in my "SnowStorm" application.
- 3D tilting. Have a look at my "Paper Plane" app, which shows a 3D F16, which you can look at from all sides.

Barcorama 0.6 - barcode reader software
The program's main purpose is to provide a free (and hopefully powerful) tool in the consumer's toolchain!
Basic Usage:
a. Press the "Shoot" button to launch the phones camera wizard and take a photo of the barcode by pressing the front "OK" button, or the normal side-shoot button. Barcorama will return automatically upon capture and try to recognize the code. Press the "Open" button to launch the file dialog and navigate/select a previously
taken photo. Again, after loading the photo, recognition starts.

After a successful recognition, a popup message may ask whether to run the specified external program with the recognized code. The program along with its arguments is specified in the settings. The code will be inserted wherever the !string is be found (may be multiple times).

In general, my tests show that the autofocus camera feature seems to achieve a good result when holding the phone more then 5cm away from the target.

A new edition of iContact is ready for download, v0.8, now with settings editor!The settings editor will be in your system control panel, if you don't see it, a soft reboot may be required.Here's the full list of improvements:

Minimal DIALER 1.3 (23 sept update, redial+smartdial)
V1.0 Initial release. Preview, and letters.V1.1 Added colors and also changed the call history, see preview: V1.2 Added landscape graphics. (letter dialpad is in the letter version):

V1.3 New graphics for portrait version and a complete new OP. Still no redial function but I might make a version with redial and smartdial when I have the time. REDIAL/SMARTDIAL .
Finally with help from signal34 and thormdac I have released two addons for Smartdialing and redialing.

ATTENTION: 1. PdG Redial Enabler.cab is only redial.
2. PdG Smartdial Enabler.cab is redial and smartdial.
